Skate City will begin its' next season of Youth Recreation Hockey on Monday, April 8th! Our youth hockey programs are a great way for beginner players to learn how to skate, and also to get them started playing hockey. In fact, first-time hockey players receive a FREE pair of inline hockey skates, and Skate City also provides FREE use of proctective hockey gear.

PRACTICES
Each league consists of 3 practices at the beginning of the season. All players practice together in each age group, and at the end of the 3rd practice players are placed on league teams and the game schedule is released. Below are the practices for each age group:
GAMES
All league games are played at Skate City Austin Bluffs, with each game consisting of two 15-minute halves. Starting times for the K-2 and 3rd-5th Grade Leagues may be scheduled Monday through Thursday, any time between 4:00 and 6:00 p.m. Starting times for the 6th-9th Grade League may be scheduled Monday through Thursday at 8:15 p.m., or possibly Saturday mornings. All games are coached by SIHA Certified Skate City coaches.
All Skate City hockey players must have a 2013 SIHA Membership. Registration for the SIHA Membership is available only online.
Skate City Austin Bluffs also has a club inline hockey program available for all recreational league players. To be eligible for joining the Lightning Hockey Club, members must participate in at least (2) two recreation leagues per year.
